Dominique: Enchanting watercolor! I love the colors and the negative tree shapes in the background.
Marie: Wonderful ink drawings!
Carlo: I really like your building drawings and the mother playing with her daughter. That is really a touching piece.

I have had the great fortune to visit Paris three times in my life. Thank you for the wonderful depiction of the Montmarte area. You sketches are lovely and serve only to enhance the beauty of the place.

Hello
voilà mes esquisses de cette froide journée:

Image

........................................

Thanx everyone for coming. As Jacques quite succinctly described in images and words, the weather was on/off, finishing with blustering cold wind and spatters of rain. I actually had quite a laugh as Carlo and I sat down in front on the Lapin Agile, our finish-line for the day. Hunkered over our sketchpads with the leaves blowing down and ominous clouds, Carlo announced "croquis rapid!" (quick sketch!), and that it was! The weather took a pretty quick turn for the worst, I put my pad away when it started to rain on my last drawing.

Here are just a few photos:

and some of us in front of the Place St. Pierre, right below Sacre Coeur

And here are some sketches:

Well, next time will most likely be indoors! Cheers,
Kim

Despite the poor weather you all did a great job!!! I love the sketch of the staircase from Montmontre and the carrousel at the bottom. They remind me of my trip to Paris last year and climbing down the stairs. lol Thanks for sharing these!
