San Francisco, CA
Since we're just a couple weeks away from the next Sketchcrawl and a location still hasn't been pinned down, I figured I'd toss a thread up. Where would folks like to sketch? It's bound to be pretty cold (possibly even raining) so I would recommend a neighborhood that has a lot of indoor locations to sketch from. The Mission or Castro would be great, with all their cafes, shops, and interesting personalities. The Mission is especially convenient since it has two BART stations. Pacific Heights would also be fun. There are a lot of great shops along Fillmore Street, interesting Victorian homes, and it's right next to Japantown too. Thoughts?
Re: San Francisco, CA
I'm in!!! This will be my first.
All your suggestions sound great. If we do the Fillmore, we can start at my hubby's cafe - a cute little hangout with wifi and killer espresso. http://www.yelp.com/biz/cafe-murano-san-francisco
But I'm up for whatever! Love the mission too. And good lord I hope this crappy weather passes!
Ciao,
Renee

Fillmore is walking distance to Alamo Square, Lower Haight, Hayes Valley and Japantown, so I'd say it's a good choice.

Filmore sounds great, haven't been there for a while.
I'll be wherever we decide, probably in my fashionable green plastic raincoat!

Re: San Francisco, CA
yay! So Fillmore it is? What's a normal start time?
My hubby's cafe is:
Cafe Murano
1777 Steiner st (Post & Sutter)
SF, CA 94115
(easy to get to off the 38 Geary @ Fillmore)
[added 1/17]
For all our bay area crawlers, here's a coupon to get us properly caffeinated for a long day of sketching:

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Sounds good! DIno's is a great place (Fillmore and Cal) or many other shops. I'm just trying to pick a centrally located spot, not get a write-up in paper

Sounds like everyone is on board for Pac Heights/Japantown. Renee, I was just at Cafe Murano last week, actually! It'd be a great starting point. Let's say 11am @ Cafe Murano for the morning meetup.
