We had arranged to meet at a coffee shop in Melville, an old, sometimes trendy but now a bit shabby, shopping street - but the first two of us arrived to find the cafe had closed down! We moved to the nearby corner of 4th Ave and 7th St and sat outside on the pavement, where we were later joined by two more sketchers, for a while. John and I spent most of the day in Melville, moving down the street and ending up doing our last sketch with fish and chips and a welcome cool drink - really tired out after a full day!
