I'm in Melbourne, but unfortunately it's a workday. I don't get off work till 6pm and by then the sun would be down and there wouldn't be much to see to sketch...

This is my first time thinking of doing SketchCrawl, is it possible to change the date? Like make it a weekend perhaps?

Have found a place with diversity of things to draw:

Albert Park lightrail station is not only a station, but the old building hosts a nursery and antique and coffeshop that is absolutely STUFFED with weird objects and crazy signs from bygone rail era and loads of (rail way related) furniture and tecnical stuff, the place has a great feel. There's lots of furniture and plenty of tables and a little terrace outside in case the sun comes out, that looks onto the "Garden of Eden" nusery.
So: station, people, antiques, plants... coffee at hand...

For lunch and after I'm open to sugestions, the Bathers Pavillion West Beach St Kilda, for sails, cyclists, runners and city views, or South Melbourne Market, or NGV sketching, their staff told me they even provide stools for sketchers...

Come on, where are the Melbourne Sketchcrawl die hards???

There's actually going to be a sketching/painting at the St Kilda Promenade on August 7th.

You can find more info here:

I'm thinking of going.

Thanks Ayra! That's an idea, if they allow scribblers too.
Too bad you can't make it tomorrow. The WW Sketchcrawls are a set date, always Saturdays. This time the dat coincides with the closing day of the UrbanSketchers symposium in Lisbon. http://www.urbansketchers.org/
But people meet up to do random crawls as well. So if you feel like it, let me know.

Hi Yvonne
Hope you got some sketching done! Post them so that I can have a look. Didn't get time to organise anything down here this time but keep us in mind for next time. Regards Des
