Is anyone interested in getting together to sketch in Calgary?

I almost forgot about sketch crawl being tomorrow!!

This might be too last minute, but I would be interested, possibly somewhere central/downtown? I am up north.

Hi there! Yes, I'm still planning to sketch today. My starting point was to draw the Calgary Tower from the corner across from the Palliser … that's the corner of 9 Ave and 1 St SW. Apart from that I haven't made any solid plans. I will be sketching the tower at around 10:30 am if you'd like to meet me.

Sounds good! I will head down there, but may not be able to get there until 11:30 or so as I have a couple errands to wrap up, but will see you there if you are still around!

Sorry I missed you dorkboycomics! I went to the tower and started sketching while it was overcast and just as I was getting into it the sun came out — it was just behind the tower. Ouch. I hope you managed to get out and sketch!

After the sun chased me away from the Calgary Tower, I walked down to the Bow and sketched the Centre Street Bridge.

After that I rode my bike through Bridgeland, had lunch there and afterwards I sketched this church:

It's not done — the sun was getting to be a bit much. I hope to finish it from photographs. All in all it was a great day!

Awesome Center Street Bridge!! No problem at all, the weather was weird today!

I made it to the Tower and was there for about 2 hours, and learned an important lesson - bring sunscreen next time (I got a little cooked, thus I only made it to one location)
This is my first time out on a sketch crawl, but looking forward to doing it again!
