Hey everybody!
Hope you had fun this summer.
October 15 looks to be a perfect day to sketch all the autumn colors coming on our maple trees!
I'm open to suggestions. Let's make it fun! :D

Morena...

I no longer live in Toronto and am now merrily sketching in Vancouver, but my brother still lives in TO. He had recently sent me pictures of a "Buskers Market" at the St Laurence Market.
Lots of interesting people, things and activities. Don't know if this will still be on when you do your Sketchcrawl. It might be something to check out though.

Regardless... I am keen to see your group sketchcrawl results of TO and wish you all good luck and have fun.

Cheers

depending by a number of factors I'll either be in Toronto or somewhere north east for apple picking.
Stella, I see you're new, so if there is a place you'd like to draw more, let us know.
Very nice areas of Toronto and picks for tourists are
-St. Laurence Market
-Distillery district
-kensington Market (near China town)
-Casa Loma (16$ ticket)
-City Hall (near Eaton Centre)
-Allan Gardens

Let us know!

Hi, St. Laurence Market and kensington Market sound good. I have never been to Casa Loma or Allan Gardens so I don't have an opinion about them. The most important is the sketch crawl group!

The markets are both really interesting.

Apparently on Saturday morning at the St. Lawrence Market there is an extra building in front full of fresh veggies, so I'm sure there will be tons of people. The people of Toronto are quite interesting to draw because there are over 130 nationalities living here, so lots of different ethnicity.
Also St. Lawrence Market is just minutes from downtown and located in a old buildings environment, so if you like to move from there there is a lot of interesting stuffs to draw.

Do you have a time that you prefer to start?

I just want to join your sketch crawl. I just need to leave in the late afternoon in time for dinner with my family. Let me know when and where and I'll be there.

Stella..
I am having the same issue in Vancouver... most of the local sketchers have indicated they are out-of-town or unavailable for Oct 15th.
Anyway, I have indicated when, where etc to meet if anyone else shows.
Some have indicated they may sketch from their remote location and post.. we shall see.

So I may also be sketching solo tomorrow.
I have also done some remote sketching today for a French location and will post these with their group tomorrow.

Anyway have fun in Toronto. I look forward to seeing your sketches.

Cheers

I'll advice Thalia about you in Vancouver.
I cannot go because, beside the idea of going somewhere else that we had at the beginning of week, Kym got a bad cold and then me following with a delay of 2 days, so now I'm still recovery in bed.
I hope I can still be doing something tomorrow.
