Does anyone want to sketch?
Some of us plan to meet at 10:00 am in the food court of the
Farmers Market in Bicentennial Mall near downtown Nashville.
There are lots of vegetable, flower and tree vendors there
and plenty of activity in October.
There are usually lots of interesting things happening in the
park too, and it's a short walk or bus ride from downtown.
I'll wear my Nashville State Community College hat again,
so you can recognize me.

Re: Nashville, Tennessee [USA]
The weather was absolutely beautiful today.
While waiting in the Farmers' Market Food Court to see if anyone
else was coming, I sketched one of the cake and coffee shops.
After Sam came we sat outside in Bicentennial Park, where he sketched
some of the old columns from the State Capitol building.
We both sat on pieces of old columns, and I drew a portrait of him:
The park is so wonderfully designed that walking around was a pleasure.
Back in the Market area local farmers had brought in hundreds of pumpkins:
Up on the hill in Legislative Plaza was the Southern Festival of Books,
with each publisher in a separate stall under long colorful tent roofs.
I didn't bother to color anything in because the little sketches seemed to
tell the story well enough:
Now I'm looking forward to seeing Sam's sketches!

Hey Steve,
Nice to see some sketches from Nashville! There's a good feeling of the day in your drawings - some nice people sketchers there. Keep up the good work

Thanks, Kim!
We moved around so much that I didn't have time to finish
any sketches this time, but the sketches showed
how enjoyable the day was.

I know how it is with finishing sketches. I only got to finish one, really. But it's fun - that's what counts!

Thanks, Joan— Yes, sketching helps us realize how much life is
