Due to our weekends being Thursday/Friday I propose we crawl a day early here in Muscat on Friday 20th.

We are thinking of sketching in Fanja: lots of old buildings, scenery, nature...

Meeting at Al Sahwa (clocktower) roundabout at the Shell garage 10am to depart by 10.30. Arrive and park in Fanja old town about 11. Bring picnic lunch to be eaten in Fanja.

That was the plan... but it didn't happen

Instead I took my sketchbook to the Royal Opera House Muscat and sketched there. Here are my sketches as I progressed through the building...

First some staff stood by the entrance


Then into the main foyer to sketch some of the people waiting for the performance.




Finally, I sketched from my seat in the main auditorium of some Omanis in their box below me.(sorry fuzzy photo)


I hope you all had a good crawl. I'm off to look through the results now.
