Let's sketch Houston. Where do you want to go? Throw out some suggestions and we'll make a plan for Sat. Jan 21

Hi Judith!
I have submitted the event to Artshound, The Art Teachers group for Houston and I sent an email to Diandra.
She and I talked about a couple of options: the Museum of Natural Science for a cold or inclement day would be good.
She suggested running it by them first. Can you look into that? I can't imagine it would be a problem unless it's a huge group, but it would be nice just to let them know.
Will the skating rink still be up then? I think NOT.
I've given everyone the link here. So let's talk about it and get the word out.

I'll check on museum. Lots to sketch there. Unless we have a large group - more than 20 we do not need to get group tickets, etc.
Of course if you have membership it is free. We should definitely go early before it gets crowded. Start there at 9?

Yes, I think an early start would be good. 9 if it's open that early. Can't remember. Of course we can sketch OUTSIDE until it opens. I haven't
done anything like a museum yet so this should be good.
I posted a notice on the bulletin board at Texas Art Supply with the link here. Haven't made it to Art Supply on Main yet.

How about if we meet inside the lobby area - near the entrance to the planetarium. At 9 when the museum opens. Looks like it might be a rainy day hopefully that will change.
Tickets are $15 for the general display area, $10 for 62 years+.
Let us know if this is to pricey for anyone. The Menil is free admission but doesn't open until 11.
Any other ideas just let us know.

Sounds good.
Tommy, look for people carrying sketchbooks! LOL
Looking forward to this. If the weather clears or we burn out on the museum or whatever there's always outdoor stuff right there in walking distance.
