Mid Michigan Anyone?

Have sketchbook, will travel. Last sketch crawl I was at the D.I.A., and did only 1 sketch and did not meet up with anyone.
I went sketching at Meijer Gardens little over a week ago, very cool sketch opportunities both indoors and outdoors, thougth I stayed mostly indoors because of the snow. That shouldn't be a problem in April though.
I live near Lansing and wouldn't mind sketching at MSU, downtown or oldtown also. MSU has Beamont tower, downton the Capitol, and oldtown the Turner Dodge house, among other things like the fish ladder and riverwalk that connects all 3. Maybe I'll have to get my mountain bike dusted off.
Anyone else have any ideas?

I've done Old Town a couple of times, fish ladder, Turner-Dodge House -- all good, in previous SketchCrawl. Haven't done MSU campus. Might be interesting.

I did a sketch of Beaumont tower last year before a football game which turned out pretty decent. The Broad musuem would be another interesting thing to draw since it is such a funky building, but not open until fall. I like to walk around the campus since there is so much to see or sketch, and then find a spot for lunch, like BW3 for wings and a cold one. One of the benefits of a college town.

OK then, do you want to meet somewhere? In front of the Broad at 9:30-10? and go from there?

Or I just saw advertised in the LSJ that Gallery 1212 in Old Town Lansing is hosting a SketchCrawl event from 9am to 3:30pm. Do you want to go there and see if more people show up? Don't know why they didn't post it on this website.
