As we planned we gathered at the National Palace Museum of Korea(http://www.gogung.go.kr/index.do) located inside the palace, Gyeongbokgung. There was a special exhibition "Last Princess Deokhye" and permanent exhibition rooms for the royal family's clothes, vehicles, musical instruments, furnitures, and so on. We enjoyed both appreciation of national assets and sketching. Above all we met a new guy who was very enthusiastic in sketching, Mr. Kim Goo Young. Hope him to join us often. Thank you all!

We, Seoul sketchers, have met at the National Palace Museum of Korea.
At the time there is a special exhibition of 'Late Princess Deokhye'.
She lived a very tragic life. We can see very many things about her and history at that time.
I feel really sorry for her tragic life. She suffered all things because of her status,
royal family member of Korean Empire, princess. I became emotional.
I realized that it's not the old history but only about 24 years ago.

Here are some quick paintings with pen & watercolor and Galaxy note 2.

Late Princess Deokhye. 1 year-old. She took afer her father, King Gojong.

Late Princess Deokhye's dress when she was about 6 or so.
Her little adorable dresses bring us sadness.

Archiartist, your sketches are great! They are so full of details and yet so fresh!
I also liked the colourful sketches by Bh Yoo, with a very interesting choice of subjects, and the moving drawings by Nabirani, they made me curious to learn more about the story of Late Princess Deokhye, I had never heard of her.
Bravi!!!

All the artists showed excellent work. I loved the "Vehicle of Empress Sunjeong Vehicle (1914). Wonderful detail and color wash effects. I was intrigued to see the work using a smartphone app. Congrats to archiartist, bh yoo, nabirani, and all the artists.
