Vienna, Austria [RESULTS]

For this springtime sketchcrawl we met at Augarten, a large public park in Vienna. Due to the long winter this year (last snowfalls in Vienna on April 3rd) there were only few blooming plants in the park. Two new talented sketchers showed up and Arco Iris brought some friends to increase our group. Weather was good, we had much fun and spent some enjoying hours in the park sketching and chatting on one of the first warm days this year.

Augarten is an ideal location for upcoming sketchcrawls because we didn't visit each part of the park today. It is comprising the oldest baroque gardens of Vienna, the Palais Augarten and the "Augarten Porcelain Manufactory". So nice and beautiful the gardens are they are visualy dominated by two flak towers, ugly and virtual undestructable concrete towers built for antiaircraft defense during the second world war.

sorry for being so late, but here are my results!

i started at Tulln and met with Sarah in the train to vienna. Afterwards we met up with all the nice vienna crawler at Augarten, but we wanted to move along, so we took the first metro we saw and drove around, our enddestination was Leopoldsberg, from up there it´s a nice view over vienna

Hi Vienna crawlers! What a great turn out! I want to go there too. Maybe you will not have visited EVERY part of Augarten when we return for another sketchcrawl, maybe 2014?
Glad you had fun in the Wienerwald with Manfred, Sally. Another great place we didn't get to. Maybe next time? Nice to see you and John and Gabi all fine and others drawing! Say "hi" to Fanda. We miss Austria!
