Gold Coast - Australia [RESULTS]

Meeting up on Currumbin Beach near Elephant Rock at 2 pm.

Three artistic souls met up at Currumbin Beach at 2 pm and commenced drawing. At Currumbin Beach there is a giant rock, although "rock" doesn't do it quite justice. Even "boulder" isn't quite big enough. It towers over two stories into the air and has been adorned with a set of stairs and a look out platform for peering out to see along the coast. Because the 25th was also ANZAC day in Australia, a day for remembering Australian soldiers, its craggy side was also adorned with a river of poppies. The three artist souls stood in the sun and captured in their sketchbooks what others around them were capturing with their smart phones. They moved at a true crawl, making it perhaps thirty meters in distance before it was time to go home, but they went home with sketchbooks a little fuller.
