Once again, the Tallahassee Museum generously hosted us Sketchcrawlers to re-advertise our exhibit and for us to draw special events--the Pioneer Breakfast plus the Jazz and Blues Festival-- both concurrent with Worldwide Sketchcrawl number 47 April 25th.
We started at the Museum around 7am and ended at 5 pm. We enjoyed docents in Pioneer costumes and musicians and dancers, animals and exhibits to sketch.

Curator Sarah Wagoner also added artworks I completed at my Big Cypress National Artists Residency to the Bird Room!

Thanks to the museum for sponsoring us! Many visitors joined in and put their drawings on the wall to join in our show!

It was a happy drawing day! The raindrops didn't stop us: they only brought more people in to sketch, see the show and join the fun!
Thanks for particpating, folks!
I repaired and updated again May 9. John will help with the rough edges tomorrow.
Please check and reply to me by email or Private message!

That's an excellent idea to inspire visitors to sketch and display their drawings on a wall!
I like your lively drawings of animals at this interesting location.
Thanks for the beautiful sketches and photos.

Hi Wien Sketchscrawlers!
Thanks for checking our postings...
Glad to see you added two new crawlers to your team!
John's Goddess seems really to enjoy her position on the ferocious dog! M9Fred's perspective continues to improve: we enjoy the figures drawn from sculptures and Gabi's natural leaf and branch drawings.
We fondly remember our shared sketching adventure with you in that same area (especially at the Gloriette above Schonbrunn Palace) nearly 2 years ago! We hope you can visit here some time. Although our Princess Murat's home is more like a cabin compared with Schonnbrun, we do have good coffee for John! :D
Mark and Sara PS I am still using M9Fred's watercolor brush pen for travel-color-sketching. Thanks!
(My sketch below is of the Gloriette above the Palace and the Roman Ruin from July 14th 2012: Fanda and Gabi are seated on the steps. See their sketches from that vantage point in the Sketchcrawl 36 Archive, July 2012)

By the large pictures I could see all the sketches well.
Enjoyed all the unique styles of each one. Small boat drawing of anonymous is cute.
And cigs and snake, blacksmith drawing(was it from model or real situation?) and your crayon drawing are really impressive.
   :D

Hi again, BH!
Thanks for your interest:
The blacksmith is a real person named Murphy. He teaches the old way to heat and hammer metal into useful tools and beautiful decorations. Many traditions are kept alive by craftspeople who demonstrate and teach at our living museum. Other examples are dying cloth with natural colors, cooking on a wood-burning stove, and candle-making.
