Vienna, Austria [RESULTS]

Post by m9fred »

We met at Urban-Loritz-Place in front of the main public library directly above underground station Burggasse - Stadthalle.
Neither of us wanted to sketch the interesting flying roof, the library or anything else from street level. So we walked the stairs up to cafe "oben" (means: "above" or "on top") to make our drawings from a raised position.
A nice family with two kids, Lea and Bence, joined our group.
Arco Iris brought her doggy Skaja. All the doves on top of the building drew Skaja's interest and Skaja did her best to protect us from this dangerous birds  .
Unfortunately the predicted rainfall started a few hours to soon and we hurried to finish our sketches.

Amazing point of view
You have chosen a difficult subject with perspective difficulties

Hi M9fred,
Thanks for your comments!

Wow, that is a great drawing, J. Reinhart...
And Manfred, yours has such a dramatic feeling of perspective that I feel vertigo by seeing it!
Is your dove expecting to carry a message, or expecting to get a treat? :? very lively.
Also, nice to see Gabi succeed in the challenge of a large architectural subject.

It's a good thing Skaja was there to protect you...In Wien, die Taube sind als gross als die hund! :o
(Thanks for your fun Photo and writing... )

PS: Manfred, you never need to apologize for late postings. It is fun to have a reason to keep checking the Sketchcrawl website. In fact, here are some late postings from us of images that came in much later...some people couldn't make it to WWSC 51, so we had a mini-crawl at an alternate location...
Sketchcrawl at the 20th annual Quincy Fest in historic Downtown Quincy, Florida...check it out by scrolling to the bottom of "Tally [RESULTS] still more artists" at the bottom of our post.
