Great sketches Emma, i love your line quality, it really adds to your gestures! Your work has such a great sensibility to it.

RegaeeNights- I love the expression on that first sketch!

noahpb- The drawing of the motorcycle is so nice becuase it feels so direct.

Larry- I love how economic you are with your line, nicely designed.

Ronnie- AMAZING, what else can i say...

Thanks everyone for sharing, it is the inspiration i needed this week.

Emma: it was nice to meet you, and DAMN! Those are some amazing watercolors indeed. I remember seeing you drawing some of those while we were going up the Filbert steps along with Ronnie. Very, very good indeed.

erik76: I'm sorry if I can't remember who you were or if we'd met on Saturday. Regardless, these are great sketches. I like the vigor and expression in the lines.

I had a great time even though I had to leave by late afternoon. I didn't make it to gordon biersch, but I was there later that night with some friends and there was nice fireworks show by the bay bridge...

it was really cool being part of a bunch people getting together to draw...even if we had to hike up 45 degree hills and couldn't find the filbert steps! I just moved to the bay a few weeks ago, so it was fun seeing parts of the city i've never seen yet.

enrico- love your work as always, great meeting you!
noah- great meeting you, very nice sketches

here's a sketch at the front of the coit tower...

nice sketches Jon!

Hatem- ok, i am going to ask the stupid question, and this question i pose to those who are in the know- How do i post images within this board? I am not too familiar with doing this sort of thing, that is why i used flikr.com. I am not happy with how small the images came out...

When i was on flikr.com they had an option where i could copy and paste code, but when i previewed my message in this board, all it showed was the code, not my images....

Any help would be very appreciated! Again, i apologize for my ignorance...

Thanks everyone for the nice words... So I went out the other day and got a new sketchbook (current one's almost full), smaller and easier to use on the go, and I've been drawing on the way home from work all this week. I'm hooked...

emma - really dig your figures, especially the top-left guy with the birds, and the last pic with the sketchers. the loose crinkly lines that are somehow just in the right places.

jon - heh, yeah, I remember you... pretty sure that's the same guy sitting under the tree too. I'm enjoying your cars a lot, and your take on that coit tower scene. slick.

Hooray for sketching,

It's been a week since my first Sketchcrawl (Sketchcrawl 3) and I am still awestruck by the experience. Although I felt totally out of my league -- my sketching skill are still a work in progress -- my heart felt so connected to all of you. It was a privilege to hang with you for the few hours I could. My jaw totally dropped off my head when I visited the forum to see all the art that came from the crawl. All of you have been an inspiration to me and have helped me reach for my sketchbook more often and with greater enthusiasm. (This morning I sketched an employee at Home Depot and my hands didn't even shake too badly!) Anyway, here are some results of my adventure as well as an attempt at continuing the Sketchcrawl experience during the past week.

It was great meeting up and hanging out, even though I couldn't stay for the brewery. Hope you enjoy the sketches!

Thanks Emma! Yes, those are ink washes. I was using a sumi brush pen and then I brought out it with water.
