My friend, Bosch Fawstin

Post by Mike Thompson »

Approximately two years ago, I was truly blessed to have met and become friends with Bosch Fawstin, creator/writer/artist of the Eisner Award nominated graphic novel, Table For One. For the longest time (nearly a decade), the idea of putting pencil to paper had never entered my conscious brain. As a child, and then a young adult, I was always drawing. It was my passion, and I even thought seriously about pursuing a career in art. By 1996, I was completely worn out with it all, and decided to give up drawing. I earned my degree in elementary education, became a public school teacher, and started a family. Art never entered my brain. About two years ago, while perusing a comic message board, I was directed to Bosch's website which advertised his new graphic novel. I was instantly hooked, and we've become the best of friends since then. His artwork inspired me to dust off my art supplies and seriously begin practicing my craft. Bosch's insights and encouraging feedback motivates me beyond words.

THINK! Why is there NEVER time enough to do something RIGHT, but ALWAYS enough time to do it OVER?
