Anyone in Exeter or Devon up for a SketchCrawl around the city centre?
I'm suggesting we start at the Phoenix Art Centre at 11am, head to Cathedral Green at 12, Down to the quay for 1pm for some lunch then sketching. Then at 3pm we meet to review and chat over a cup of tea before finishing.
All this weather permitting of course but could be fun even if we have to alter the locations a little; inside the Cathedral rather than outside for example!
Let me know if you're interested! Either here or by email to nikchinook@tiscali.co.uk

SketchCrawl Day - Exeter, Devon, UK
Great day for a small group of SketchCrawlers in Exeter!
Going completely against form, the weather was spectacular for the Exeter SketchCrawl today. Blue sky and dazzling sunshine greeted the lucky group as we set out from the Phoenix Art Centre. First location was 'Bohemian' Gandy Street Then we spent an hour or so in Cathedral Green. All admitted to being a bit intimidated by having so many people around sneaking peaks at our work, but we set ourselves the exercise of trying to do ten fast sketches in the hour.
We all grabbed lunch / sandwiches etc to take with us down to Exeter's lovely Quayside. After lunch we all got stuck into a final session aiming to finish at three. We then gathered for Cream Teas under the still blue skies and had a chat about the sketchcrawl experience as we shared our day's work.
It all seemed very positive and we'll be making an effort to be ready for the next event and to recruit some other crawlers.
FAB DAY EVERYONE !
PS Pics to follow shortly and hopefully uploads from all who took part.

Hi Exeter sketchers,
lovely sketches and nice photos - and the cream tea looks very tempting (I still remember the tea room in the corner next to the cathedral.... may have to join you in a sketchcrawl, mostly for the scones ... ).
