I began with this scene of pairs of socks, shoes, men's jackets hung on the column.
I asked this man who was selling and repairing bags whether I could draw him(Yang Jo-Wook) using his stool. He permitted with a smile. And he told me that he was an oriental painter and showed me his figure paintings which were great. We kept talking about his life for painting till I finished this one. It was meaningful time and rare.
Contrabass and accordions
While I was drawing this one a woman began to sound with a accordion next to me. I stopped this one and tried to sketch her. After finishing her playing I added colors to this one again.
Accordion player, Kang Eun-Ja, kept playing while I was drawing her. Those pieces were so good to hear and the passengers stopped to see her play and to see my work too. All of us might not forget the happy time we shared together. I thanked her too.
People can buy every kinds of paintings. Oriental, western, big and small...
pen, pastels, A 4
I tried to go out to capture the street sellers and customers. Big scale stone sculptures were stood in rows. And it was so crowded as much as inside.
We had the first meetup this year at the Seoul Folk Flea Market. It was a usual cold day of January. But inside temperature was good enough for sketching. Merchants told they refurbished the ceiling for better environment. It was good to see the market develop day by day. The food court space was divided by transparent doors from the selling zone And the covered ceiling kept the indoor temperature warmer. We could feel the distinguished features clearly for we visited after one year for sketching. We thank for the participants despite of cold weather and hope to meet again soon.

It's wonderful to see Yoo (and friends)! It's certainly a thrill.
I posted a few of my sketches early this morning.
Several of the Tallahassee sketchcrawlers are in a bicycle group doing 20 miles on Sunday mornings...I must prepare to go to that now.
Hopefully the other Tallahassee sketchcrawlers will post their drawings soon.

Re: Seoul, Korea [Results]
Thank you for checking out our page, BH and friends!
I only posted a few of my sketches earlier to get the page started. Just updated a few minutes ago.
Several of the Tallahassee sketchcrawlers are in a bicycle group and did a trail ride this morning.
How many sketchcrawlers does it take to change a tire?
(Only Four (out of six)--I sketched the "pros"[above]-- Jeff also sketched --
since there were too many chiefs in the kitchen)
From our weekly bike challenge.
I posted a couple other Tallahassee new sketches from Tom and Chip.
Other sketchcrawlers will post their drawings soon (I hope).
Thanks,
Mark

Last Saturday, for the 62nd World Wide SketchCrawl, we Seoul urban sketchers met at Seoul Folk Flea Market, Sinseol-dong, Dongdaemun-gu. The market is well known as the largest flea market in Korea, and all the street around market were crowded with customers and vendors all the year round. There are lots of sketching subject matters such as various kinds of regional specialties, antiques, craftworks, pottery, variegated necessaries of life, rare objects and many others.
It was very cold and windy outdoors, but inside the market building was so warm by many heaters and vibrant atmosphere for enjoying sketch pleasantly. I've visited here to sketch many times before, so all the colorful scenes were not stranger to me. I tried to sketch the familiar scenes in and out of the interesting flea market with a new perspective. It's a certainly useful experience to repeat sketching on the same spot many times.

Thanks Again, BH!
I just posted 12 late drawings for people.
Thanks for your specific encouragement especially for the Newbies around the world and in Tallahassee, FLorida!
I looked at your page again!
I enjoy the bold character and life of your figures --and the crayon technique is refreshing.
