Guy and I really enjoyed the sketchcrawl today! What fun it is to be with such talented and creative people!
We gathered at Cafe Allegro, then went to the University of Washington campus where we sketched outside until we got too cold and came inside for a portrait party. Afterward we all met at the Solstice Cafe and compared our sketchbooks.
I sketched the Art Building on the UW campus:
Here's a couple of portraits I did:
On the way home to Silverdale, I sketched this folksinger who was singing on the ferry:
Here we are afterward with sketchbooks and coffee:
We had a great time. Can't wait for the next sketchcrawl!

I had a great time too! Nice to see folks from previous sketchcrawls and some new faces as well. The UW campus offered plenty of subject matter for our sketchbooks. I drew the Gerberding building on the east side of the red square and the more modern looking architecture right across.

What an amazing turn out in Seattle. Great sketches. I thought it was a false urban legend that it always rains in Seattle.

It was great meeting everyone again today, and some new people as well. There are some really talented folks in this group.
I drew the inside of Suzallo Library. I'd seen pictures but never saw it in person until today. It was so beautifully ornate, I spent the whole time on just this one sketch - and then came back to work on it after lunch. This is as finished as it's going to get:

Leo, that is absolutely grand!
Great to meet you all today! It was tons of fun!
As I was last time, I'm overwhelmed by all the spirit in everyone's work. Clearly fun is a very good idea!

Beth takes the group picture and we can't see her!
Here she is making her beautiful drawing from the steps of Rat Hall, I mean Raitt Hall, on the quad at the University of Washington.
