Sydney, Australia [RESULTS]
A great day with a good group of people – the biggest sketchcrawl I have been on! Thanks for a great day everyone!!!
Hot day – we spent the morning in the botanic gardens (my favourite place being the cactus garden) and trying to find an architectural subject. Lovely lunch passing sketchbooks around and general sketch chatting.
In the afternoon the die hard sketchers went back to the Art Gallery to sketch an amazing installation work – two rooms constructed around two equestrian sculptures – not sure if my sketches explain it....(so inculde a few photos as well)

And here are my drawings from today . It definitely was a great day . It was a little warm, but we decided to enjoy the sunshine, and chose places in the shade to chat and draw. It was wonderful to have so many people there and special thanks to Vanessa and girls for driving all the way down to Sydney to meet us and enjoy the day of putting pencils (and paint ) on paper.

-- g'day Downunder!
Or should I say g'eveninng?
What stunning uptcome of your day - so much pleasure to see in pictures and sketches!
No red dust left over from some days ago it seems - so many different colours and insights.
That lunch looks deli, Alissa!
What is this horse about?
Liz, I'd like to have a sip from your green cup!
Any fluid presented in it should taste great
Thanks to all of you!

Thanks Thorsten- and g'day (actually , I never really say that )
We had a great day .
The horses head in a cabinet is part of an art installation. The two larger-than-life equestrian sculptures outside the Art Gallery of New South Wales' entrance are currently surounded within room-like structures, decorated inside as domestic rooms. Since the late 1990s, Tatzu Nishi has been creating out-of-scale and out-of-place encounters in public spaces around the world. He has transformed street lights, parked cars and monuments, building new spaces around them and altering their setting For more info http://www.kaldorartprojects.org.au/pro ... ition=1332

Hi everyone,
I just did the one spread at yesterday's sketchcrawl (the best ever). Had another engagement but want to go back for more, preferably early morning in the cool.

Thank you so much ladies for the invite, I had the best day, learning and watching your talents unfold before my eyes was the highlight of my day - not to mention meeting you all in person. I have grown from the day and appreciate my day with you all very much.

... I know, I certainly drink beer all day and do not eat Preezles day in and out But I really heard it a thousands times being in Australia adding "-mate" at the expression's end, when talking to me.alissa wrote:Thanks Thorsten- and g'day (actually , I never really say that )
Alissa

Nice work Sydney! I love the cactii! And the water lilly is great too. Good to see such a big group forming over there, you're always welcome to join us if you're ever in the Red Centre of the Universe (Alice Springs).
