San Francisco, CA, USA [RESULTS]
Re: San Francisco, CA, USA [RESULTS]
Another great crawl! It was good to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones. Great work from everybody on this one! See you in October!
Re: San Francisco, CA, USA [RESULTS]
Oh my gosh - what a day - I think that all the sketches are wonderful !!
Re: San Francisco, CA, USA [RESULTS]
Can't believe I lived in the Bay area for 20 years and never heard of the SketchCrawl! Now I'm back in Michigan and I see what I missed. (Although I did do my share of painting there). What fun you are having! Great stuff guys! Our group in Michigan is smaller but we're loving it too.

Second crawl, and first post! I had so much fun, even though I had to leave early. Everyone's pictures are so beautiful!

There are always such great results from your group. Goro: Smart thinking photographing a sketch before coloring it in Brushes.

Cool results everyone. I love the mood and atmosphere in both jackson and msb's work. Very strong pieces.

Lovely work! I like sketching down there, but it does look very cold.
Roquesketch: i really really like the framed close-up of the warming hut, that is a really cool image!
Tenlayers: nice work on the cannons
Bluebed: Mere Ubu is great!
Erwin: Wow that first one of below the bridge is just amazing! Your colours are so atmospheric and I like how you use the whole page spread like that
Milkgap: that's a nice view of alcatraz, a good perspective
Gary: great stuff as usual, especially the palm trees, i always love your pencilwork
Redhen: nice photos of the group!
John: i totally adore that last one of the palace of fine arts! How was the waterbrush? I'm still considering it, people keep singing the praises, but i only want to get one that is going to work; which do you use?
Ice-cream monster: i like the golden gate bridge one a lot
Ghross: nice boats there
Goro: very atmospheric view, well captured
Jackson: lovely view
Maddie: your sketches really capture how cold it was!
IR: i like your marina houses, fun to sketch i'm sure
msb: your style is very energetic, good work!

Re: San Francisco, CA, USA [RESULTS]
My cab-driver had no idea where he was taking me. I told him north of the Presidio, Crissy Fields, Fort Point, warming hut, Marina Street, under the Golden Gate Bridge - I thought that should be plenty direction..... and he takes me to Fort Mason, saying it was my fault. Ridiculous. So I arrived a little late and with sore legs.
None-the-less,I loved participating in my first Sketchcrawl. There were far more people than I expected. We baffled some tourists, who will tell their friends at home that SF is "crawling" with artists (which is of course true).
So, the results
I did the first sketch a little too early on a Saturday for my taste:
The second sketch is actually the first semi-decent sketch I have done of the bridge after 3 years of living here:
I did the last sketch I am gonna post, after everyone disappeared on me. Next time I have to pay closer attention to where the group is moving:
If you like, you can check out my old sketches at:http://www.artoffaust.com/Skt_01.html

Hey guys,
I was completely knocked out by the flu on Saturday and was heartbroken that I couldn't participate .
So instead. . .I wandered around my apartment complex and did a SketchCrawl of my own lol:
Hopefully I can make the next one. . everyone's sketches are so beautiful and unique!
