Opryland is amazing!
I had coffee in the Conservatory Cafe and sketched people
while waiting to see if anyone else was coming, and then stayed
in the Garden Conservatory in case someone arrived late.
The scene was overwhelming, with not an inch of space empty:
millions of flowers, hundreds of trees, and rivers, waterfalls and
fountains all around---all under glass!
It was difficult to focus, and I had to sit down and become calm.
Soon these beautiful flowers on a tree in front of the bench
changed everything:
After that, it became easier to draw the scenery:
Sorry I couldn't stay more than a few hours and draw more,
but had to catch the bus home before it got dark and started to rain.

Thanks Joan,
I wish there had been time to stay and paint the waterfalls.
They were almost everywhere, and some were quite large,
while others were hidden away in quiet little places.
