Great sketches. Its also great you got to meet Don, he is a really good portrait painter. Its a shame I missed the Lake Eola demonstration. I did notice a few people in middle eastern dress but they were just relaxing on the grass and benches when I got there. The next crawl we will arrange a lunch meeting spot as well.
Thanks Tom. Love your watercolors. Glad to hear the demonstration went peacefully. I was great meeting Don. I didn't get to see his sketches, though. Hope he can upload them.
In the spirit of full disclosure, here is the digital sketch that I started at Church Street Station. Before I finished the sketch the battery died on the tablet. The sun was so bright I didn't even notice that I was doing the drawing in a green color.
Thank you, Juny! I love your drawings from the train. So peaceful, and quite a contrast to the beautiful, intense style you exhibit in your drawing of the guardian dog. Fantastic stuff.
Mtbrehn - Thanks for the compliment on the color. I just started using watercolor with my sketchbook about 3 months ago. I find adding a few washes can save even a so so sketch.
beth - Thank you. The weather today has finally turned colder, it is cloudy and the temp went down to the low 40s Brrrr.
donnam - Thanks for the compliment on style.
sumacm - Your compliment on a sense of place was heartwarming. I am struggling to find an authentic side of Orlando away from theme park facades.
enrico - Thanks for the compliment on depth, I started using watercolors after seeing a piece by you for the Totoro Project. There is no going back.
Savante- Thank you for compliment on skill.
JoanT - Thanks for compliment on rooftop piece. I found a woman's wallet while doing that sketch and mailed it back yesterday.
cancelliere - Thanks for the compliment.
juny - Thank you.
grannyC - Thank you.
mhimeswc - Thank you, and I am thinking I should rent one of those swans and sketch folks on the shore!
