San Francisco CA [Results]
We had a wonderful day out in North Beach and Chinatown. Didn't take a tally but we must've had around fifty crawlers out ... great crowd of sketchers!
We didn't realize that the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival was also going on today (time for some moon cake!) so the whole area was sure bustling ... but it made it even more fun ...
I ended up on my own most of the day, but enjoyed getting lost in my thoughts, walk around and draw ... as always it was great to see everyone's drawings at the end of the day!
Here's one of mine from Grant Street in North Beach ... more to come once I take some photos tomorrow ...
Cheers!

Hey sketch crawlers! Today was a great crawl, perfect sunny day with lots of people, and an Italian street festival to draw the crowds. Here are my sketches done in a small sketchbook with a zebra ball point pen, and a brush pen for one of them.

- Colin, your sketches aren't sketches any more Doesn't count in here
I really enjoy the card-players and the couple trying on some masks! That's what makes me happy on Sketchcrawls.
Thanks for sharing.
-- Enrico, now pleeeeease get the camera into position soon People over here get crazy about UP and they certainly would like to see some of your watercolours, too. Word of mouth is spreading, so how about presenting them in Germany once, too?

Today we ended up being tourists more than sketchers: After parking in the Portsmouth garage and seeing a few SketchCrawlers, we went to North Beach looking for the mentioned Italian festival, but first we had lunch @ The Stinking Rose. I like food, it doesn't move:
Then seeing Coit Tower, we decided to huff it on up there and wandered the ground floor but did not go up (~$5 for adult):
We also walked to Fishermans' Wharf, visited the Musée Mécanique there, Ghirardelli Square. We returned to Portsmouth Square at the appointed afternoon time, and then we ended up at Kushi Tsuru in Japantown for dinner:
We also looked around NEW PEOPLE, Shogakukan/VIZ's J-Pop center. It looks like it has interesting films, we may go there in the future.

I only got 6 or so sketches but these are the better of the group. My friend and I went from the park to Coit Tower, down to the Piers, and back through Little Italy-so we got a lot of distance!
Christopher Columbus statue in front of Coit
A boat in the docking area behind Pier 39
Everyone else's are sooo good. It was a fun day!

Here's the days' worth plus a few photos ... my phone ran out of batteries pretty early in the afternoon, so unfortunately only 3 photos ...
Meeting in Portsmouth Square
A chinatown alley
Grant street in North beach
the N-Juda on my way downtown
Portsmouth square characters
Grant Street (after a nice latte at Caffe' Trieste)
A side street in North Beach
A busy board walk ...
A building on Waverly
Scribble of a Chinatown street, looking up the hill ...
