First off the day was beautiful, Sunny high 60's, no wind. I would guess we had about 40 people in our group. Be sure to check out
Enrico's Blogfor photo's from the day.
Anyway here are my pencil sketches. Next time I will give the water color's a go.

This is a map of the island and a number corresponding to my sketches.

1 - This was the first thing I spotted when I got off the boat and I think it also caught the eye of many others, as the rangers had to ask several of us to move to make way for the next group.

2 - About a 100 yards up the main path this is the corner of the main barracks/apartments of the facility
![Image](http://pages.sbcglobal.net/michael.ageno/sketch/sc5/03-Officers-Club.jpg)
3 - This is the old officers club from the original army days. It's in pretty bad shape, but a great subject to draw.
![Image](http://pages.sbcglobal.net/michael.ageno/sketch/sc5/04--Wardens-House.jpg)
4 - This is at the top of the hill near the front door to the cell house. The left is the warden's house the right is the light house. After a few minutes I got tired of drawing buildings and went on to a different subject.
![Image](http://pages.sbcglobal.net/michael.ageno/sketch/sc5/05-Tourist-Skyline.jpg)
5 - This is a lady sititng at a bench looking at the SF skyline. She was leaning over talking to a friend. The bridge on the left is the SF side of the Bay Bridge.

6 - This is along the back path to the garden's . The fence at the top surrounds the prisoner's rec yard.
If you're wondering who I was I was Mike, the big guy in the green shirt. Now you can see why they call me biga. This was my first sketchcrawl, I didn't know anybody and had a great time. Everyone was super friendly and would talk to you or leave you alone to draw, so don't hold back, get out to the next one.
