Lamma Island Hong Kong [RESULTS]
Lamma Island Hong Kong [RESULTS]
We had a great sketch crawl in Lamma Island Hong Kong. This is an island with no cars, 25 mins from the city. There are cafes, beaches, and lots of great hiking trails. Many people choose to live here for its quiet friendly lifestyle. This is a new group who have only been sketching for a few weeks. Please leave your encouraging comments and watch for more uplaods. There are two young students who couldn`t make the SC but who did good drawings on Monday.
Thanks everyone and by the way we are really enjoying looking at all the world wide results. Go sketchers!
Mandy. A view of a typical Lamma house.
Roz. Fisher folk making nets.
Roz; The fisherman`s village has a tiny temple dedicated to Tin Hau in their boat shelter.
Roz . Shopping in Lamma. I used a Watercolour pencil and washed in some tones.
Quick impression of our surrounding waters. Hong Kong is made up of beautiful hills and islands and the views are peppered with ships and boats.
Green Cottage Cafe,
Dina. Po Wah Yuen, village
Dina; This is our police post on The Main Street
Dina; One of many restaurants on The Main Street; this one is called B and B which stands for beer and babble!
Dina; The wonderful vegetarian cafe, Green Cottage; Uber cool and friendly
Roz. Fruit and veg shop on high street
The sketchcrawlers of LAmma Island; Roz, Vicky, Dina, Elkie, Perry.
chatting with the owner at The Green Cottage, ex fashion designer, fan of sketchcrawlers that day, gave us all a drink on the house!
Becky. 10 yrs. Her first drawing ever done on location.
Emma.11yrs. Another of our young members;
Vicky; Beautiful coastline view
Vicky; The ferry pier in our main village, Yung Shue Wan. Take the ferry to Hong Kong city
Vicky; Huge incense pot at the temple in our village.
Vicky; The urn where paper offering are burnt at the temple. There is a lovely banyan tree here.
We had such fun and look forward to the next crawl. Lets see if we can increase our numbers next time and gather some creative folk from around Hong Kong together.

thanks for the comments. Yes I agree, Enrico, its a great way to see places and would take at least 10 years to get around to visiting them all. Thanks for the the brilliant and inspired idea of Sketch Crawl!
