BANGALORE, INDIA [RESULTS]
BANGALORE, INDIA [RESULTS]
30th Worldwide SketchCrawl started out eventually despite the city being unexpectedly shut down due to political reasons. Myself and Arun went sketching around the Lalbagh Glass House which was hosting the Flower Show. There were hardly any crowds which was good as we could sketch easily. I wish I could sketch some beautiful diverse flowers which were on display, but decided to sketch the surrounding areas instead as there were so many shapes, colors and styles of flowers that I would need more than a few days to draw them all. Some sketches and photos are below. There were many onlookers this time (some of them even chatted up) which made it all the more fun.
Flower circle adjacent to Lalbagh Rose Garden
Lalbagh Glass House hosting the flower show. The Red & Yellow Rose flower set-up in the centre is of Kempegowda Tower.
The superbly uniquely blooming Saraca Taipingenisis Tree
A seller of Bhel-puri, Cucumber and Pineapple slices under the Juniper Tree
A seller of roasted groundnuts, pop-corn and fryms in Lalbagh
Sketching with 0.1 Rotring Pen
The synthetic hair of this brush is very long which makes it fun to sketch trees
That awesome Schmincke watercolor set!
Hoping to see more sketching action at the next Sketchcrawl!

Thanks! Love your travel sketches. You should visit the Old Bangalore areas. It’s a treasure for sketchcrawlers. I plan to sketch this year so do follow my blog (http://www.curveandline.blogspot.com). Bangalore is branded as an IT Silicon city but only for a select few. The majority is something unique which I am keen to draw.

Thanks. Your sketches are rich and beautiful!

Thanks. All is fine. Thanks again for asking.

Thanks. I want to make great memories of this place by sketching as I have always loved nature, especially Lalbagh. Maybe we can sketchcrawl together when you are in town.
~ Javier
Thanks! I totally agree.

These are very nice. I have to agree with all the others about the colors. They are very bold and bright!
