Paris, France [RESULTS]
Hi,
Yes: I sketched in Paris but if you see my drawings it seems I was in Japan
Actually , we were at Albert-Kahn museum and garden (http://www.albert-kahn.fr/) just outside Paris. Since it was a "japanese" SketchCrawl, I sketched in the japanese garden...here my drawings:
There were a lot of sketchers today, so you'll see new drawings very soon

Great sketches, Carlo and Sourya. Lovely

Re: Paris, France [RESULTS]
Sorry this is coming in bits and pieces. Trying to do a few things at once today...
We were 26 sketchers (that I could count) at the Albert-Kahn museum. A great little place in the Boulogne-Billancourt suburb west of Paris, well worth the visit - as you can see from our drawings ! The weather couldn't have been perfect-er, and despite the stern instructions imposed by the clipboard-lady "no folding chairs! or obstructing the walkways!", and the large number of visitors traipsing through the narrow paths towards the afternoon, we got some really good drawing done. Cheers to you all!

Re: Paris, France [RESULTS]
Just few more photos (sorry, we were not very good with the camera yesterday. But check out Martine's Picasa album for some excellent shots!).
and finally, here are my very SKETCHY sketches from the day...
After my "conversation musclé" with the clipboard lady who made it crystal that she had the right to refuse us entry, I made my way into the garden and scribbled this first sketch very quickly, feeling that she was hot on my heels...
As the organizer of the day, I had been labeled with a scarlet "O", it seemed. So down the garden path I quickly went...
Today wasn't going to be the day for me to take out my watercolors and mess around. I'm still in my "fear of color" phase, and what with the clipboard lady, the folding chairs and all...
Finally I made it to this (fairly dark and) far-flung corner of the garden, and managed to set my chair down amidst some shrubbery to contemplate the light for one more sketch...
And that was it! Thanks again everyone, a really great day, glad to see so much wonderful stuff done, and see you again soon!
Cheers,
Kim

Re: Paris, France [RESULTS]
Well Martine, she WAS carrying a clipboard! And she wrote my name and number on it!!!
And she started by saying "vous devrez tous partir à 15h." Then she said, "Non ! JE vais vous demandez de partir à 14h. C'est ça. Vous allez tous partir à 14h !"
But in the end we all stayed until closing. In fact, I think Carlo and I were some of the last ones out.
Well, it adds a little spice to the story of the day. And I'm just glad to see everything come out so well in the end. Long live SketchCrawl - till the next!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are Nobuko's sketches or the day:
Having conversations in Japanese in the authentic Japanese garden, I nearly forgot I was in France.
With the blessed weather, being able to see the wonderful drawings of the other sketchers, it was a fun day that meant a lot.
Thank you!
