I had not anticipated getting free time on the week-end as lately work has been extremely busy. Because of this I had not planned to get out to sketch, nor did I set up any advanced notice for the sketchcrawl in the forum.

I was hoping someone else in Vancouver would organize this one.

So my "crawl" today was again a solo event.

I had a late start today and did not get out for my "crawl" until afternoon, as I slept in.

I was able to do the sketch below, and started by doing the rough of another. The second was a cyclist, so speed was definitely a key factor, as these guys don't stay still for long. I'll see about finishing the second sketch asap as I want to use the cyclist as a base for an up-coming painting.

Sketch done in an Opus brand Watercolour sketchbook. The surface is great to work on and takes wet washes of watercolour well especially when using watercolour brushes.
This is a sketch done of a street vendor on Davie Street in the West-end section of Vancouver. Not quite sure how legal this was
