Sunday was exactly that here in Brisbane; it was hot and sunny, and by the end of the day my arms and face were quite red and sunburnt :)
I started out the day by catching the Citycat along Brisbane River to New Farm Park and kicked the crawl off from there, heading towards chinatown. Here's the sketches from the day:

A quick stop at a park bench to hydrate:

Andy, your shadows/dark areas are so great! I've never seen anyone do shadows quite like that: the long wavy lines that aren't trying to be straight and mechanical. The lines announce themselves in a sense. The lines aren't trying to disappear into a dark mass, they are insisting upon their own texture. There's a real kinetic energy to those places in your sketches.
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks,

Very, very good, andy. I like it a lot. Also wished I had tabletPC (for coloring mostly) but I hope
it's not against SC policy to apply some postproduction tweaks. I think you would love the work
of Stephane Kardos, if you haven't yet bumped into. Fresh, light, some similar use of colors and
computers like yourself, but also strong handwork as base. Yummy.
