I did not feel well today to go sketching outside. So I gather some Thai fruits, and do some still-life sketching at home. Iris, my six year old daughter, also wants to join the fun; so she starts her own drawing of our family too. It is hard to ask a six year old to do a sketch from something real. She is more like drawing her family from her imagination. We both have fun for our humble SketchCrawl excursion at home this time.
The Thai fruits here are a papaya (long orange shape), rambutans (the three round red ones with green hair), a dragon fruit (a bright pink one), and tiny pineapples from Phulae mountain of northern Thailand.
Thank you so much for opening the Bangkok page for us, Khun Eye, your fruits painting are fantastic! Love the dragon fruit and papaya very much!
I wonder where other Thai sketchers would crawl to sketch today since we do it separately this time. Our head boys Asnee & Pramote are both gone to the Urban Sketcher Symposium in Lisbon. How envy I am!
I've still got no plan of any venue to sketch this morning so I thought I would do at least one sketch at home, just in case!
The orange cat who adopts us neighbors is perching on the broom cabinet built like Doraemon's door of the Future (no wonder she loves lying on top of it!)
In the afternoon we decided to go to the 100 year old water market called "Khlongsuan Market" in Chacherngsao Provice, not far from Bangkok.
Standing onto the bridge, I did 2 sketches of canal with a temple's pier and the noodle restaurant on the water (hope you could be able to see what they are!)
I am happy for drawing on sketch crawl day, visiting a lovely place plus buying a lot of foods home!
