Hi everyone,
It rained all night and had only just stopped at 10am so we put our wet weather plan into action. The Art Gallery of NSW. Our first stop was the Asian Art Gallery so that any latecomers could find us there. In fact we stayed there the whole time because there is so much to draw. The gallery even lends stools.
These are the brave people who came out after a wet week on a wet morning.. Anthony, Annie Jennifer and me.
Alissa, with a sprained ankle, just popped in to take out photo.
Taken after lunch so NO lipstick. (Senza bella figura.)
Borromini Bear is in Portland and she's the most prolific. I'm usually SLOW. However today I used the stopwatch on my phone and did all my drawings in 10-15 minutes. The alarm gave the workmen at the gallery a fright. I think they thought they were going to have to evacuate.
These are our sketchbooks
And here are my drawings
And these are Annie's drawings. She had to go out tonight so I photographed them with my phone.

Re: Sydney (RESULTS)
Congratulations on a great sketchcrawl day! It was really interesting to see everyone's different drawings of the objects in the Asian gallery.
Great to catch up wih you all at lunch and see your drawings on the page.
I was supposed to be attending a life drawing class at the art gallery today so only managed a solo sketchcrawl drawing on the walk in through the city, then another one of my newly sprained ankle

G'day all down under!
This is so much fun to see your work before we go set out to sketch! Good solution to sketch at the Gallery on a winter's day. Love your work and curious to see the rest. Also I loved seeing all your drawings of the 27th edition, what a coincidence with the arrival of the Pink Lady! Hope the sprained ankle returns to normal proportions soon!
We're a group in the small town of Altea, Spain. Seeing as it's mid summer here and way too hot to be out sketching in the streets, we've decided to do a Ronda Nocturna, in re to Rembrandt's Night Watch... how presumptious...
Cheers, Yvonne

Sorry about that ankle. It looks painful. What a price to pay! I hope it's back to normal soon.

I sometimes think there is nothing so delightful as drawing.

Great Sketches from a rainy-day crawl! Thank you for sharing!
Alissa, I hope your ankle feels better. I saw your sketch of it (not visible now for some reason) when I got home from our crawl here Saturday night. I love the way you take time to draw the "little" things and events like that!
Dragonhaunt - your little cartoons crack me up! Really gives a feel for the day as a whole. Alltogether, a great report!
Cheers!

Brilliant sketches in different styles.
It seems as if you had an enjoyable day regardless of the weather (and the sprained ankle; hope it feels better soon).
