At least 10 people braved the 100 degree temperatures to draw on the High Line in NYC, including two visitors from Norway and two new Sketchcrawlers! I'll have my sketches up soon, but here are some photos for now.
After about an hour and a half of sketching on the High Line, we retreated to the air conditioning of Chelsea Market to draw and have some lunch.

Re: New York City, NY, USA [RESULTS]
Ok, here are some of my sketches from yesterday.
Two watercolors from The High Line before we all started melting. You can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance under the bridge.
It was very nice to have visitors Hanne and Olve join us from Norway! We were all sobered by the news of the attacks in their home country. I hope they enjoy the rest of their stay in New York.
After lunch a few of us found a little corner to sit in Chelsea Market. People were passing quickly but every once in a while they'd stand still for a minute.
A lady was feeding her son in a stroller near us. He was very interested in watching us talk and draw.
There were lots of little kids in cute outfits and sulky pre-teens.
I colored this page quickly in Photoshop. I'll probably color a few more and post them up on my blog this week.
Lady on the train on my way back to Queens.
Thanks to everyone who came out in the sweltering heat! I'm looking forward to seeing your sketches.

Just found this site, and love all the drawings!! As someone planning their first trip to NYC for the end of August, I am in the same boat as Euphorike was last year --
and am wondering if anyone knows if Sketchcrawl is happening in NYC again this year? Please let me know! Once again, great sketches!I would love to join you! when is it gonna be the next sketchcrawl in New York? I will be there by september for the first time!!! yes!!!
